OTF / Automatics - While our knives are durable and sturdy, the bane of any OTF or automatic knife is debris in the action mechanism. In general, avoid retracting the blade with 'gunk' or sticky residue is still on it. This will build up overtime inside of the action and may cause it to extend slowly or lock up while extending. To avoid this simply wipe the blade down like you would any knife before you put it away.
Moving parts like lubrication. Automatic knives are no exception. Avoid using stuff like WD-40. Overtime WD-40 will soak up dirt and turn into a gummy residue inside the housing. We suggest using stuff like Nano Oil or CLP. Just dab some onto the base & spine of the blade, move the action a few times then let it sit. After a few minutes open it up, wipe off the excess then you're good to go again.
